Marli Taylor Equestrian Services at Pinecrest Farm is Proud to Present the “G.G. Bursary”!

SydneyIn the summer of 2008 a special lady by the name of Eileen Pearce passed away at the age of 82. Eileen was an extraordinary woman with a heart of gold who continually gave back to her family and community. She loved to watch her Granddaughter and Great Granddaughters ride and compete, sharing their love and passion for horses. Therefore in her memory Eileen’s family created the “G.G. Bursary”. Once a year, one lucky individual who is keen, kind and committed will be awarded the “G.G. Bursary”. The “G.G. Bursary” will sponsor a child as a week-day member for a full year at Marli Taylor Equestrian Services at Pinecrest Farm. The intention of this sponsorship is to give back to our community and honor a fantastic individual. Eileen would have been elated to know a child had been given the opportunity to continue riding or the opportunity to begin riding in her memory. This year’s deserving recipient is Sydney Carroll. Congratulations!

Riding has been a passion of Sydney’s since she was little, but riding lessons can be very expensive.  The Pinecrest Kids Club has been a wonderful way for Sydney to meet new friends, do crafts, which she loves as well, and spend time on horseback.  However the G.G. Bursary will give Sydney the opportunity to ride in a lesson program where she will develop her skills in weekly, one hour lessons.

Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity!”
